Cabin Trip

Every year we get together with our awesome friends at Brenna's cabin in the Uintas for a weekend. To get there we have to either cross-country ski, snowshoe, snowmobile, or drive a snowcat. Josh and I always choose cross-country skiing because we love it! Here's us after cross-country skiing 5 miles at midnight to get to the cabin. Notice the ice in our hair. That is just from the condensation of our breathe. It was cold that night!
Here's a picture of the beautiful area we got play in. You can see the cabin through the trees.

We did a lot of snowshoeing along with cross-country skiing and chilling in the cabin. Below is a video of Josh and Derek goofing around.

This is a picture of the amazing sled hill that Josh and Derek spent hours building. It starts on the deck, banks a corner down the stairs, heads down a hill, and has a jump at the end.

Here's a cool waterfall a mile or so from that cabin that we always hike or ski to whenever we visit the cabin. Below is a video of me "sled"-boarding. It's always one of the highlights of my year to go to the cabin. We spend a lot of time playing and a lot of time doing nothing. It's the ultimate in relaxing and rejuvenation. This year there wasn't any running water at the cabin which made it interesting. We had to use melted snow for everything. Good memories.
